General Motors India showcased electric version of Chevrolet Spark at the just ended 2010 Auto Expo New Delhi with the help of Maini Reva. Chevrolet E-Spark has an electric drive AC motor that propels the car as soon as the accelerator is pressed.

Toyota - largest car makers in the world showcased their first small car concept "Etios" which will be launched both as hatchback as well as sedan in India later this year. Toyota also showcased their world wide hit model "Prius" hybrid model at the 2010 auto expo show at New Delhi.

Maruti Suzuki Auto India is shown its first ever SUV "Eeco" on the first day of 2010 Auto Expo at New Delhi after the success of Superb and Laura. Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a five door, C segment vehicle with a powerful and highly efficient 1200cc engine. The engine delivers 73bhp of raw power @6000rpm. The car uses a 5-speed manual transmission system with the Diagonal Shift Assistance (DSA) technology to provide better fuel consumption. Officials claim Eeco will give an average of 15 per litre.

Volkswagen showcased its flagship product the Phaeton at the New Delhi Auto Expo today. It is Volkswagen’s first entry in the high-end luxury segment in India.Phaeton is equipped with a robust 3.6 litre V6 Petrol Engine with an output of 280 HP @ 6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 370 Nm @ 3500 rpm.The Phaeton will be priced at Rs. 75 Lakhs.
